Ok, so as I’m sitting here writing this it’s like 9am and I’m still super tired, need dat caffeine fix pronto! (or whatever is in Yerba Mate tea, I’m not big on coffee but I’ll talk about that in a later post).

I’m running on about 3hrs of sleep bc I was working on building a softbox for the new lamp I got as lighting for the stream, and I’ll be damned if I’m spending $30 when I built this one for $5! Actually, that’s not fair, if the softbox thing makes the stream look good I’ll probably buy a professional one, I just wanted to try it out first before I committed to anything (I’m really big on testing things before I spend a ton of money on it). I’ll probably do a write up on it in the future, as well as a write up on my $7 green screen, but back on topic!

So yeah, 3hrs of sleep I still wake up at 8am. For some reason this is just the way my body works. I get the energy for a project late at night and I just go for it. If you’ve ever watched my early morning streams (I say early but it’s usually around 10am), it definitely takes me a bit to get my ass rolling and get that energy up. I just can’t help it, I’m not a morning person, never have been, never will be, and there are definitely some IRL hurdles that go along with this.


My ideal time to get work done is between 7pm-5am, I just get this massive surge of energy, I think it’s just how I’m wired bc this is how I’ve been since grade school. If I could do everything late at night I would. I used to get so much crap for shopping at places like Wal-mart, that I’m “voting with my dollars” and that “they hurt local business”. I’m sorry people, I’m not trying to take wrong stand on this I swear (plus I’m more of a Target person), it’s just that NO OTHER STORE IS OPEN WHEN I WANT TO GO SHOPPING. Seriously, like 1am hits and I wanna go run errands, BOOM! Wal-mart is open! Shopping at 1am is so easy! No crowds, no lines, tons of parking, no traffic, it’s freakin ideal! Plus you get to look at all the weirdos (see http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ ), it’s friggin great!

Ok, enough babbling about my Wal-mart shopping. The whole purpose of this blog post was to let people know about a blog series I wanna do regularly. I think I wanna call it “3-Bullet Blogs”, which is inspired/ripped off from Tim Ferriss’ “5-Bullet Fridays” (which is an awesome newsletter and everyone should sign up), and I figured I could do my own spin on it, with probably way more babbling.

So the idea of 3-Bullet Blogs is that I want to have 3 recurring bullet topics that I will write on. I’m thinking something like this:

  • Brain dump – My thoughts on some random topic for the week, might be video game related, might not, who knows!!?!?
  • What I’m listening to – I love music, It fuels anything creative that I do, so I want to share some of what I’ve been listening to lately with all of you.
  • Something I’m interested in – anything from interesting articles to awesome shows or upcoming games!

So since I already gave you the “Brain Dump” up top with that Night-owl nonsense, here are the other 2.

This guys/gals/person’s music is amazing. Every time I listen to it I get this vision in my head of Shadowrun and Tron. I originally heard it on ManvsGame’s channel who was introduced to it by VesperVonDoom , but it’s friggin great. Go listen to it and support this dude!

Meditation/Mindfulness Practice

If you’ve ever been interested in meditation without the “woo woo”, check out https://www.calm.com/ (it’s what I mainly use, but I’ve also tried https://www.headspace.com/ which has a free program as well). I now meditate daily and I think it’s really helped with my focus (need all the help I can get jumping around on the internet all day), and my overall contentedness.
